Restrict Access

I am using Active Directory for access and I have an AD group identifying VKernel Admins which is working fine. But it seems that any AD user now has the freedom to log in and poke around. They don't have admin access but I would like to limit who can log in. How do I stop this?

Currently, we replicate the user privileges from vCenter on users in Active Directory. If the AD user isn't referenced within vCenter at all, they have read-only access to the VKernel environment.

Our AD support in 3.5 is still first-iteration for our product, and in August of this year we'll be significantly expanding this feature to include multi-domain forest support and the ability to have exclusive user access to the appliance based on AD groups.

Short version: right now we can't stop folks in AD from getting read-only access if you're using AD to log into the appliance. But that's going to change soon.
